I received my urology training in Oxford, Bradford and Belfast.  My medico-legal interest started in Oxford while working with Mr Joe Smith.  He was a senior advisor to Medical Defence Union and later became chairman.  I was able to learn legal responsibilities of doctors in protecting their patients, themselves and colleagues by making sure that patients' needs were met at all times within the framework of clinical governance.

After I became consultant I started preorting on Police cases which were treated for trauma.  Now I am reporting for Doctors' Insurers, law firms and fo rthe NHS.

I started my medicolegal work in 1997.  I have reported on trauma, cancer and NHS second opinion cases.  I have also reported for metropolitan police cases.  In last 4 years I have reported a large number asbestos related urology claims for Irwin Mitchell Firm and gained a valuable experience on cases with occupational hazards.

I was lead for audit in my hopsital between 1999 and 2006.

I also run patient support groups educating cancer patients.
